Conclusion

And so ends the Avisarr 98 campaign. A nine month campaign which ended with the players actually LOSING! An interesting turn of events. Because of a fumbled die roll and unlucky circumstances, all of the treasure, weapons and artifacts (including the Codex of the Infinite Planes, the six skulls, the Avisarr and several nice pieces of high technology) ended up in the hands of the enemy. How will Duthelm use these resources? Will these treasures and weapons provide Duthelm the advantage it needs to successfully wage a war against the Empire? Let's not forget that this entire quest was an attempt to prevent the escape of a demon lord who had been trapped in an interdimenionsal prison! The party failed and so that dread lord is released. That's right. As the characters traveled back to the city of Ithell, back to Pon Molthir, the last Anchor Glyph failed and the dimensional gate open. The dread lord Draxorith returned to the world of mortal man. And his followers were there waiting for him. Undoubtedly, Draxorith will lead Duthelm to victory!

To see how these events play themselves out, stay tuned. The players of Avisarr 98 are returning in November 1999 to continue this plotline. They want another chance to vindicate themselves and set right what should have been done the first time around.
