The Drakkellian Alliance is ruled by two hundred and thirty seven guild houses that are united in a political pact of common rules, laws and practices. Guilds vary widely in size. The smallest guilds have only a few dozen members while the largest employ several thousand. Average guild size is between 300 and 500 employees. While all guild houses have property and representatives in the capital city of Drakkel, most guilds have the bulk of the property and employees elsewhere in the Alliance.
Listed below is a small sampling of some of the largest and most powerful guilds. They normally go by the name of the guild master (House Xevani, House Amnithor, etc.). Some, though not all, have fanciful names, but these are always secondary and used in formal occasions. The official guild names are as above. If a guild master changes, the guild house changes with him. The naming convention was instituted as almost all guilds are businesses run by noble families.
The Drakkellian Guilds are known for scheming and cloak and dagger alley wars. The larger guilds are often composed of numerous departments and divisions, some of which may scheme on their own against other guilds or sometimes even other divisions within their own guild!
Name: House Amnithor
Guild Master: Lord Sotan Amnithor
Number of Employees: 6,400
Description: This guild specializes in security and all related fields
(private investigation, private bodyguards, etc.). House
Amnithor also builds siege engines for warfare, hires out contracted mercenary
companies, provides storage facilities and ensures safe transport with guarded
caravans. House Amnithor employs over 6,000 full time workers and
warriors. This number does not include the dozens of small mercenary companies
that it frequently works with. In total, House Amnithor can muster some 10,000
hardened warriors if necessary.

Guild Master: Etian Xevani
Number of Employees: 3,200
Description: House Xevani controls most mining that occurs throughout the
Drakkellian Alliance. It's products include quarried stone, precious stones,
iron, copper, gold,
methkari crystals, crafted glass products and processed orichalcum.
Name: House Tenney
Guild Master: Lord Saeg Tenney
Number of Employees: 2,900
Description: House Tenney is the wealthiest of all the Drakkellian
guildhouses because of the sheer scale of its product. This guild produces sea
going vessels - from sleek rowboats to full sized galleys. Lord Tenney is one of
the wealthiest men in all the realms. Side businesses of this guild include fishing, seafood,
transportation of goods by sea, fishing gear and other nautical equipment.
Name: House Prad (also known as Prad Ironworks)
Guild Master: Lord Veras Prad
Number of Employees: 2,750
Description: Prad Ironworks produces a wide spectrum of military goods.
Mostly iron weapons and armor. It also produces a miscellany of other iron goods (horse shoes, plows,
nails) and bows, crossbows, arrows and bolts. Lord Prad is from Vorrik and brings
a great deal of their metal work skill with him.

Guild Master: Lord Nekari Aldair
Number of Employees: 2,100
Description: House Aldair's specialty is plants and plant based products.
It's main products include vegetables, fruits, wheat, rice, barley, culinary
herbs, spices and tobacco. It also dabbles in related products
(cotton, dyes, rope, wicker products, lumber and flowering plants). Most of
House Aldair's business is land-based, but it does have four ships which sail
far and wide to obtain more exotic plant products such as sugar cane, coffee
beans and cocoa beans. These rare delicacies fetch a high price.
Name: House Taragon
Guild Master: Lord Zaus Taragon
Number of Employees: 1,950
Description: House Taragon specializes in animals, animal training and
animal products. Beef cattle and pigs are the staple of the company. Taragon
also deals in other useful animals: cats, birds, sheep and wool, dogs and
dog training, horses and horse training. Taragon beef is a well known brand name
in Drakkel.
Name: House Winari
Guild Master: Lord Alden Winari
Number of Employees: 1,800
Description: House Winari is the academic guild of the lot. This guild
employs a great number of scholars and sages. These men and women perform a
variety of scholarly services for a price: maintaining and researching
historical information, translation, transcribing, dictation, cartography and
library services. House Winari also produces the tools of its trade: paper,
vellum, parchment, ink and book binding. Finally, House Winari employs a number
of sorcerers and manufacturers potions, charms, amulets of protection and other
enchanted objects of limited power.
Name: House Kovosh
Guild Master: Lord Aerin Kovosh
Number of Employees: 1,600
Description: House Kovosh specializes in harvesting and processing lumber and
producing wooden goods with that lumber. Trees are harvested from forests
throughout the southern lands and transported, via wagon and ship, back to
Drakkel. Kovosh merchandise includes wagons, chariots, wooden furniture, stout shields,
log cabins and small wooden boats.

Guild Master: Lord Keiken Dellecir
Number of Employees: 1,450
Description: Garments, footwear, cloaks, gloves, belts, leather goods,
clothing accessories, jewelry, masks, saddles, saddle bags.
Name: House Kendrick
Guild Master: Lord Samryn Kendrick
Number of Employees: 1,225
Description: House Kendrick specializes in construction, architecture, masonry, landscaping, garden
care, demolition of buildings, orchard maintenance and other large scale
building/land projects.
Name: House Qaigen
Guild Master: Lady Alia Qaigen
Number of Employees: 1,150
Description: Kalimuran technology, exotic plants and animals, curios,
relics, art objects. Qaigen is the only house to consistently conduct trade with
the other two continents. Its small fleet of ships risks the long and dangerous
journey to trade with cultures that are nothing more than legend to many in
Ithria. Each of House Qaigen's twelve ships is manned by a security team of 12 warriors, a healer and a sea mage to help deal with the dangers of such a
voyage. House Qaigen is also the only house to regularly obtain rare items
of technology from Kalimura.
Name: House Bresslar
Guild Master: Lord Aen Bresslar
Number of Employees: 1000
Description: Art and literature, exotic pieces of art, fine wines, fine
cheeses, musical instruments, entertainers, traveling troupes, bards, gems and jewelry, money exchange,
plays, stage performances, musical compositions, commissioned art, sculptures.
House Bresslar is small, but wealthy and caters to the social elite of Drakkel.
Name: House Barrolyn
Guild Master: Lord Tarrel Barrolyn
Number of Employees: 940
Description: Specializes in cattle, particularly samassar beef. Trades
with many nations including Anquar in Qeshir. Uses independent cargo ships for
transporting goods.
