Glowdust is a common alchemical and magical concoction created by the dwarves. It is used extensively in the underground city-states of Urmordia and Ulkran.

The dwarves have been creating and using glowdust throughout their subterranean history.

Glowdust lives up to its name with one primary function - it glows. There are many different kinds of glowdust. Some are activated upon contact with oxygen (and typically are kept in airtight glass bottles. Some glow a specific color. Other glow dust is enchanted to glow permanently.
The most common type of glowdust glows for about a week and is used as a common tool of adventure and exploration in the deep dark of the underworld. It can easily be scattered to light up a large chamber or sprinkled in small quantities to leave a long glowing trail in the dark to find one's way back.

Glowdust is cooked up in batches and then distributed. Glowdust IS magical. It's magic can be negated by various anti-magic effects. Glowdust has a weak magical aura.
