These magnificent suits of armor are fashioned from a bluish-grey metal. The edges of each individual plate is trimmed in gold. Runes of power are etched into the metal. This armor is a complete suit of carefully interlocking plates.
These suits were the best, most powerfully enchanted suits of armor ever created in Aggradar. They were commissioned by a former Sybren emperor to be built by the most powerful arch-mage in the empire and they were to be worn by the emperor's own bodyguards and highest ranking military officers. One suit was set aside for the emperor himself.
The arch-mage Holrumna planned on making one dozen suits. The spell energies involved were vast, the formulae and incantations complex and their construction required the sacrificing of a living being, a human. No other mage was close to Holrumna's skill and power. Unfortunately, Holrumna only completed seven suits. During the construction of the 8th, he was attacked and killed by a group opposed to the sacrificing of lives. They also were trying to save their friend (who was the one to be sacrificed). During the attack, Holrumna was killed (he was vulnerable because all of his power was tied up in the armor creation). The 8th suit of armor was destroyed during the attack.
A magical intelligent, self-aware suit of armor. Capable of communication through speech with the suit wearer or others outside the suit. Capable of independent movement and thought. Can move, think and fight without a user.
The suits have the following abilities:
Launch probe. Small floating silver sphere. Visor comes down and displays what the probe sees and hears.
Visor with multiple vision modes – light intensification, infrared, life force, magic.
Retractable 18” metallic, serrated claws
The suit can seal air tight
Flight - capable of short bursts. Useful for making long leaps.
Damage absorption. Invisible field of energy slows weapons that strike it. Reduces damage.
Heal user of wounds, minor healing, more effective during Karrym phase, less effective during Drellis.
Armor self repairs during Karrym phase.
The seven remaining suits have been scattered far and wide over the centuries.
Suit 1 - Is worn by one of the Head
Bodyguard of the Padashan Emperor.
Suit 2 - Is worn by a general in the Sybren Empire.
Suit 3 - Is part of the treasure horde in the lair of Verraximaul, the great
dragon of the Gyrtara Mountains.
Suits 4 through 7 - Whereabouts unknown.
