A finely crafted broadsword with a golden dragon head pommel and ruby eyes.
Blood Drinker was crafted and enchanted, on commission, for a noble lord named Kirian who fought during the Great War. With this enchanted weapon, Kirian won many battles. Many tales were told of his battle prowess. But, of course, it was the blade, not his skill that won those battles. The only reason he defeated his opponents was because he could steal his opponent’s strength and use it against them. However, during his final battle, he lost his blade and it was used against him.
This blade is enchanted to absorb life energy and strength from the body of any living creature it strikes and bestow healing upon the wielder. With every successful wound inflicted (and the blade must actually touch flesh), Blood Drinker actually absorbs blood, oxygen, adrenaline, bio-neural energy and more and then bestows those fluids, tissues and energies upon the one holding it. This effect varies in strength depending on the creatures involved (different blood types, different biological systems, etc). The draining effect is much more pronounce and effective when wielder and victim are similar in race. Wildly different life forms (a human swinging Blood Drinker at a troll, for instance) would be much less effective.
