The Life Reaper is an enchanted blood reaver, the standard blade of the Duthelm military. The blade continually generates an eerie greenish mist. The faces of tortured souls can be seen in the swirls of the metal blade. A faint wailing and moaning emanates from the blade when it is wielded.
This weapon was forged in 2277 CY by the Black Sorcerers of Duthelm. It has changed hands several times over the last 500 years, but it has always been held by a high ranking Duthelm officer..
The blade radiates evil. It courses with dark energy. Any living creature killed by this blade will arise moments later as an undead abomination breathing greenish mist and with blazing green eye sockets. The undead obey the wielder of this weapon without question. They are mindless things, automatons enslaved to the blade. If ever this blade is broken, the tortured souls within are freed and the undead turn to ash.
