Long ago, when there was only sky and land, Magrada gave birth to a son and daughter. These two rose up into the heavens so that they could shine with all their brilliance from the arms of the father. They were mates and the baenites were their children. The baenites, who always long for independence and isolation as a race, descended from the sky to live as mortals. This angered Takyr and to this day she rains down her wrath upon her children by turning their magic to formless energy and chaos.

The priests of Takyr wear blue robes and the high priests, of which there are twelve, wear Takyran Holy Stones (drellisian crystals) on leather thongs about their necks. Priests of this religion (and worshipers with magical ability) are a baenite version of Chaos Sorcerers drawing their energy from Takyr (Drellis) rather than from the universal magic field.
