Zhun personifies the yellow star. He is the brother and husband of Takyr. Known for kindness and infinite patience, it is Zhun that shields the baenites, his children, from the eternal wrath of their mother. This benevolence is seen throughout the religion, in Zhun's priests and elsewhere in baenite society. It is important to note that Zhun is very kind and patient by baenite standards, but is rather neutral by human standards.

When the baenites descended to the world below, Takyr was angered and her wrath poisoned their magic. But Zhun, who is more forgiving, protects his children from their mother's wrath and shields their magic and their lives from her light. When Zhun chose to side with the baenites and protect them, a rift formed between Zhun and Takyr. To this day, these two cults are in direct opposition.

Zhun priests wear white, high priests wear yellow. They have special magic which can shield them from Takyr's wrath (the drellis effect). The church of Zhun is the protector of baenite mages and baenite life. Zhun priests are seen as defenders and are always opposed to Takyran priests. Zhun priests also represent order and control, positive energy and growth. While these two religions oppose each other, it is known that they also rely on each other. The balance of power shifts between these two cults as the balance of power between the two suns and the two sources of magic shifts.
