It is said that Urthal carries the bitter winter winds in the bag tied at his waist. His breath is frost. His touch freezes victims solid. Fires flicker and die at his approach. The ground about him freezes in the wake of his footprints. This is the borrellian god of death, the Frozen Lord, the Ice King. He is the walking embodiment of winter.

Urthal lures young men into his service with promises of power and immortality. Still, Urthal's worshipers are few in number. Fire is forbidden within Urthal's temples and at his ceremonies. No fire at all, nor anything that would bring warmth. His temples are always deathly cold and usually dimly lit. The only light allowed comes from enchanted icicles which glow with a cold blue light. The ultimate goal of this cult is to create a borrellian society of complete and utter cold. Where fire is unknown and all people embrace the cold rather than fight it. Where stone and ice are the only materials felt under skin. This cult is diametrically opposed to Gyth and battles it constantly.
To make the ideals of this religion work, the priests and worshipers of Urthal have cold magic and are virtually immune to the cold. Priests of Urthal have a variety of cold-based spells and can perform the following magical feats:
