Lyris is an ancient figure steeped in legends and fables, a vague entity with no definite form or representative avatar. Though no true form is known, Lyris is often portrayed as female of varying age and race dressed in golden robes.

Lyris has been worshipped since the Age Of Dawning. In many ways, Lyris is another word for "fate" and that is how most worshippers see her : chance and whim of the Universe. This is not a wide spread religion, but has grown slowly and steadily for ages.

Priests of Lyris are oracles and, as such, specialize in spells that foretell the future. They also excel at other divination spells - detection spells, clairvoyance, etc. Priests of Lyris are often called Fatalists. These men and women can be found in all nations as oracles, spirit mediums, fortune tellers, mind readers, etc. Some are more skilled than others. Most tune into the thoughts of others around them to aid the accuracy of their magic.
