Oberon is the god of Death. His minions include the walking dead, moldering skeletons, rotting zombies, spirits, ghosts, specters, shades and a host of other stalkers of the night. Oberon is the reason why people are afraid of the dark. His priests maintain that he is the blackness between the stars, he is the lord of all evil, slayer of the living and supreme deity above all others. Oberon himself appears as a humanoid skeleton of blackened bone and patches of rotting flesh clinging to his body. His bony hands are tipped with long black claws. His moldering skull is crowned with two large horns which curve backward like a ram. His appearance is made all the more unsettling by a pair of very human eyes which peer out from the skeleton eye sockets. Finally, attached to the spine and horny back of the creature are a pair of broad, leathern bat wings. He is often draped in black robes that hang in tatters from his bony body.

The religion of Oberon maintains huge stone temples. Priests use magic to make themselves gaunt and pale. They starve themselves, never venture forth into sunlight and will apply makeup to mimic a skeleton appearance.
The temples of Oberon are ever overcast with dark, brooding clouds. Rain is common around such a temple. Sunlight never strikes the stones of such a temple. These temples are huge and there are only five:
| Coalition | |
| Duthelm | |
| Darkwood | |
| Pirate Isles | |
| Trackless Mire |
Each temple is home to several dozen acolytes, 4-7 priests and one High Priest. Each temple will service perhaps 100-200 worshipers and serve as a sanctuary for followers.
The priests are able to transform themselves able to assume the shadowy insubstantial form of a wraith or spectre allowing them to pass through cracks. They can do this thrice each day. They can also feign death at will, lowering their heart rate and body temperature drastically.
The High Priest of each temple is a form of lich an actual undead creature, formerly a living human, but now a thoroughly evil skeleton creature with no soul.
Each temple is a stout stone fortress with several levels above ground and many caves and catacombs beneath. The temples lack windows, archer slits and balconies. The outer walls are blank faces of stone.
The primary temple of Oberon is in the Coalition and is one of the lesser groups of that region.
Rituals include slaying of prisoners and raising them into undead, rape of women by the priests, the ritualistic consumption of flesh and blood, the ritual torture and slaying of victims.
