Zothok is the master of competition. He represents many things : fair play, sacrifices made for competition, the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, etc., etc. He also represents the mindless animal drive the hurtles athletes forward to win at any cost. Zothok is unbeatable at any contest involving physical prowess, but wrestling and brawling are his favorite sports. At such forms of unarmed combat, Zothok is truly unbeatable.

As he was in life, Zothok was an athlete and almost unbeatable. His greatest battle was also his last. A confrontation between Zothok and his main adversary. A great deal of public interest and betting was placed on this confrontation. When faced by a superior swordsman in lethal arena combat, he began to lose for the first time in his life. In order to steal his opponents advantage, he dropped his own weapon and threw himself on to his opponents sword, impaling himself. This changed the match from swordplay to wrestling and Zothok crushed his opponents skull. He won, but at the cost of his life.

No major temples to this religion exist, but shrines and individual priests are fairly common. They are more common in Normidia, Bathynia and Vorrik than in other areas of the world. Priests of Zothok are always in outstanding physical condition, very competitive and very outgoing. They tend to challenge everyone and win in the name of their god.
