Also known as Barter Talk, Drakkellin is the "language of the markets" used in the Drakkellian Alliance. While Southern is the dominant language through most of the nation, Drakkellin is a sort of street slang that dominates in the inner city and the market areas. All "sword tongues" (hired barterers) ply their trade in Drakkellin.
This language is simple, direct and blunt. It has easy pronunciation and flows quickly and smoothly. Yet it is complex enough to discuss complicated ideas. Of course, a proliferation of words relating to trade and commerce have developed. Barter talk shares many words and grammatical structures with the Southern tongue.
