Mytharian

Dialects

Mytharian is the language of the mytharian peoples of central and southern Qeshir, particularly the Broad Lands and the Wind Plains. There are many mytharians tribes and each has a slightly different accent, but these regional differences in the central mytharian tongue are very subtle and all the mytharian tribes communicate with each other easily.

Spoken

Mytharian sounds a bit like Padashi. It is a beautiful language that is very pleasing to the ear. It has many small, soft syllables spoken in rapid fashion that seem to flow easily. Some cultural exchange has taken place between the mytharians and the secambru resulting in both languages sharing a few common words.

Written

Like Padashi, Mytharian is descended from an ancient pre-War language known as Hasha which descended from the Kithdari language before it. Mytharian shares some words and syntax with Padashi and there is some small amount of mutual intelligibility between the two. Mytharian is less complicated than Padashi and is based on a 64 letter alphabet... a slightly simplified version of the Hasha alphabet.
