Troll's Head is a small village at the edge of the Mercian Forest. It was founded by a carpenter who settled here, many decades ago, in a region known for trolls. He managed to defeat a great troll in battle in the earliest days. He mounted the troll’s head on a pike as a warning to the other troll’s. The skull of that troll still is now affixed to the village gate. The village has a sturdy wooden palisade around it and a strong gate. It has archer towers as well. Trolls are still common in the region. A man named Hoskin, the carpenter’s great grandson, now serves as the village council leader.
This village is home to mostly lumberjacks and wood working. Timber and wood craft are the economic lifeblood of the community.
