This tall tree is very stiff and does not sway in the wind. Its bark is very smooth and dark brown. The branches of this tree are oddly straight and project out at sharp angles. The leaves are large and oddly shaped. They curl in on themselves lengthwise. At the tip is a single ripple.
The wood of this tree is stiff, but not very strong. It tends to splinter if subjected to stress and is not suited for construction of any kind. It does, however, make good firewood.
The tree is named for the fact that the oddly shaped leaves act as whistles in the wind. Hundreds of these leaves whistling together can be heard kilometers away.
The wind singer tree grows in temperate grasslands in Ithria.
