I was just wondering... Once I saw either on Queen Sillar's bio or some page related to the Black Sorcerers a plot hook hinting that Queen Sillar and Varlos of the Black Sorcerers were at odds somewhat and that there was at least some intrigue there. Now I can't find it and just wanted to know if I'm crazy or it's still there or what because I really liked that idea, as it could be a great way to let characters really see the world of the Black Sorcerer and gives potential for a big adventure or maybe even a campaign, whether the character is evil, or good and undercover, which with a very powerful mage could be a cool idea if they were able to rise quickly due to their previous magical skill and experience.

Yeah I saw that later, but this was different. It was more specific, and actually referred to specific things. I don't know, maybe that was rewritten by Dave?
I don't remember what specific page you might have been reading, but there is definitely tension between Queen Sillar and the Black Sorcerers. The Citadel is home to a complex political and military tapestry that involves many groups and subgroups that often plot and scheme against each other. The Black Sorcerers are one of many groups, but they tend to be one of the more powerful and independent groups. And individually, the Black Sorcerers tend to be arrogant and some feel that their group is superior and should rule. They often clash with other parts of the government, including the Queen. The Queen, however, has plenty of power to keep all the groups in line (mainly because her father, Caramus, who is the true power in Duthelm, supports her from behind the scenes). To be blunt, no one screws with Caramus.
Okay. Though it would kinda seem like the Black Sorcerers are both more powerful and more vital to Duthelm/Draxorith (while maybe not Caramus, but evil people don't always support "loved ones"). Thanks that clears up a lot Dave.
