Thanks Tanis, though I've been on a bti of a hiatus the last month or so while my wife has been home from school, I'm planning to get cracking on Vrinn again. I hope you stop by often and post any feedback you might have to my forums.

I need to do some catching up here on Khoras as well.

I tried setting this up for my own site the other night and could not get it to work. The icons are pretty cool and I hope you give it a go David...only with better luck than I had with it.

Since you don't really have a graphic logo for Khoras,  I recommend taking the "K" from Khoras on your main page and making that your icon.

Thanks guys. The map so far has been fun to make and I still have plenty of work to do on it. I've also added Vrinn's calendar and right now I'm working up a pantheon before I go back for more work on the map. I'm glad you like the logo David as I thought it was pretty nifty myself. I intend to make the return of the Dragons to Vrinn the basis of my first campaign. Since Dragons will be an important part of Vrinn I Thoth I should put one in the logo.

I'm looking into getting a message board setup for my own site for talking about Vrinn as I'd prefer to stop posting things here on David's board. This board should be for talking about Khoras and I feel a little guilty and a bit like a board hijacker. Though for the next while my efforts will be concentrated on my own site, I'll definitely be stopping by here for a creative boost when energy or ideas start to run dry. I've added a link to Khoras on my own site as well as a small testimonial to David's creation being the inspiration for me to try my own hand at world building.

I have my Vrinn map finished as far as the geographic features go and have labeled the seas and continents. The tips on map making you have posted here on your site went along way in assisting me with my project. Just wanted to say thanks again!

I found your thread with World Building advice and there is plenty of good stuff in there. I wasn't able to get through it all so I'll be back. Thanks much for posting it up and tothose that added info to it.

I must admit to visiting your site for some time now for inspiration. Tonight I finally figured I should sign up and post my appreciation for the massive amount of quality work you have done with Khoras. In fact, you have inspired me to finally attempt the creation of my own homebrew campaign world tentatively called Vrinn.

Your maps are awesome I must say and, though I already knew about layers and was using them for my Vrinn map, the tips I picked up on your site have been very helpful. I found out that Bryce is available as a free download (perhaps it always has been) and loaded it up to make my mountains. Though I've been working on them for a few weeks now I have not been able to get them to look as good as yours, at least in my opinion, but I've finely got them to where I am ok with them. I'm planning to work on the forrested areas next followed by the rivers. If you are interested, or anyone for that matter, I'll post a link to the map once I get it closer to finished.

This is my second attempt at world design. During my first attempt I tried starting from the big picture and working my way down into the smaller details and ultimately became overwhelmed. It seemed much of the material I was creating would not be used for a very long time, if at all, and became burnt out with the process. This time around I plan to get the physical world mapped as far as continents, mountains, forrests, rivers, perhaps nations, but stop there. I'll then figure out where I want to start my first campaign and design that area of the world, the part my players will be dealing with immediately, and work my way out as needed. I'm hoping the fact the material I'm creating will be used will keep the creative juices flowing. in any event, I was wondering if you had any advice in the area of world building?

Come to think of it, you may already have posted some tips in this area somewhere here on your forums. I've spent all of my time on your site outside of your forums and really only popped in to congratulate you on your work, so perhaps I should delve a little deeper and see what gems I might find. Anyway, any advice you might have would be appreciated...and now I'm off to explore your forums further.
