Our Heroes

Belkor
A human fighter with a quick blade and a quicker tongue. He's a native of Mercia and a seafarer. He idolizes the infamous sea captain Callister Draabyn and acts in a similar fashion... part swashbuckler, part scoundrel. Belkor sees great things in his future and isn't above a little self-aggrandizing. Belkor's quick tongue got him thrown off his ship (literally) and kicked out of the Mariner's Guild. He was trying to find a way to earn enough to bribe his way back into the good graces of the guild when the call for militia recruits came and he joined up in hopes of finding both gold and glory.

Listig Felchkun
A half elven thief with a knack for picking locks and shooting a bow. Equally comfortable in the wilds of the forest or the back alleys of human cities. Listig takes his last name from the felchkun, a type of jungle monkey notable for its stealth and thievery. Listig was caught stealing and he would have ended up in jail. He was ordered to report for militia duty instead.

William
A human mage who endured a troubled and stormy relationship with his master during his apprenticeship. Most recently, his master, a simple hedge wizard, was ordered to serve the militia as a spell caster. His master sent William to answer the summons in his place.

Winlock
Winlock is a half dwarf/half orc hybrid, the product of an orcish breeding program and dark orcish magic. His childhood was spent laboring in orc mines and serving as a slave to an orcish tribe in the far northern mountains. From his experiences, he developed a deep hatred of orcs. At a young age, he was put in an orcish fighting "school" with other half-breed "orfs" like himself. He was taught to fight and how to summon a battle frenzied rage. He escaped with a group of fellow orf prisoners and they fled southwest. Winlock is the only one to survive the long journey. He only stopped his journey when he reached the ocean (Mercia). Recently, he got into a bar fight and ended up in a local town jail. When the call came for militia recruits, the jails were emptied and Winlock found himself, once again, as part of a military unit. Although this time, he is getting paid and he gets to kill orcs!
