With regards to the new Corrections section, I'm thinking of just crossing the errors out in the original post as I get them done and also leaving comments for some of them. Once all of the errors have been fixed (or otherwise addressed), I'll delete the post. That way, the only posts in that section would be active "to be fixed" lists.

I figure minor stuff will just get fixed. And major corrections (that involve the addition of new material) will be mentioned on the News page. I don't see any reason to hang on to these error lists after the list of bugs is fixed. Is there any reason to hang on to old error lists? If there's a good reason to hang on them, I can be swayed.

And as long as we're on the topic... does anyone have any opinion about cleaning up the forum? We have some very old posts hanging around. I'm thinking maybe the forum is getting a bit cluttered. Perhaps we should put a time limit on posts. We could set it up so that every post would simply auto-delete after a certain number of weeks or months. We could make certain posts "sticky" and they would be around forever. Or we could move those valuable posts to a "Hall of Fame" section or something.

Anyone have any preferences? Comments? Concerns? Opinions? I could go either way on this really, just wondering if the forum is too cluttered or if it's fine the way it is. Looking for opinions...  Everyone is welcome to chime in.

Also, if there are any other concerns about the forum or changes you'd like to see, let me know.

I think cleaning up the corrections makes perfect sense, but I think part of the fun of this forum is you can always go back and see old conversations, learn new things from before you joined, etc. And besides, a lot of very useful info lies hidden in these old posts, along with plenty of great stories.

So I think that the forum is pretty bad ass.

Anyways that's just my opinion.  ;)

About deleting errors I don't think it is a good idea. Simply by the fact that I didn't keep a track of what error I post here. So there are something I wanted to know but I don't remember what and I have to reread the entire section. It would be far simpler to read the post and say "Oh yes! That point was wrong and is now corrected. What is the new version?". It's specially true for posts with errors on very different topic (on dwarves, on Arkalia, on the Citadel...)
About old posts in general, is there a reason to delete them? Because I agree with Tanis (very good for resurrecting dead posts ;) ). It can be useful to read something written a long time ago.

Thanks for the feedback. Ok, so... With regards to the entire forum, we will leave all posts intact forever. So any old topic may be revived. And newcomers to the forum will have plenty to peruse.

Same goes for the corrections. I will leave them online. I may do a little reformatting here and there so the corrections (and corresponding fixes) are easy to find and read, but for the most part, I'll leave them online for everyone to read. I guess the corrections and fixes can sometimes have some interesting reading in them too. :)

It might be a good idea to create a "Fixed" section to place them in.
