He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

Hey Tanis - I just read this and this is really good stuff. I would certainly be interested in reading more about the adventures of your "group".

I know this is an old post, just wondering if you had anymore written down.

tanis

Actually no I don't.

I stay pretty busy with school, but I'll try to find the time to write some of them down if I get a chance. I could use the creative writing practice probably. But sadly I have gotten out of writing and poetry in the past few years.

Anyways, I'll scrounge around in my head for some of the better adventures, and try to write it a little more eloquently and I'll post it when I finish it ok?

I am intrigued by the idea of "gaming" in your head and yes, if you happen to write anything else, please post it.

EDIT
That doesn't sound right...I meant, the idea of you "gaming" in your head.  :P

tanis

Haha get your mind out of the gutter!!!  >:(

That's my territory.  ;D

As for [my] gaming in my head, it was a natural departure from practices developed during that typical boring and torturous experience known as elementary and middle school. For several years I had few to no close friends and when you're a bored ADHD kid you find ways to keep entertained. Word of advice though, make sure you learn to control your imagination before relying on it too heavily. Wouldn't want you going schizo on us and losing track of reality. Remember, the real world is the sucky, unglorious, bland existence we have now, not the world of might and magic you create in your dreams lmao.

Well, I haven't hit on this topic in far too long.

I was looking through this post and the character description I typed up for it and I think it's time for me to finally get around to writing more about Tanis and the Heroes of Ankar. I've become so busy in the intervening years that I've lost touch with my old 'adventures', and maybe recording the 'histories'  might help me get back into the groove. I'll try to start working on this now. It might be a day or two before I get done though. Flirting and my best friend getting ready to come back to town for school are taking up a lot of time. I apologize. But also, I think this might help to breathe some life back into the forum. I'm really getting to miss the days before I became a Forum Master, when Kristian, and Phendar, and everybody came on all the time. The glory days lol.

Also, I think I'll be significantly less shy with my writing. Lol. I'm certainly more confident in my ability to write my own stuff. Especially since I have a habit of soaking up info on Khoras like a sponge and regurgitating it when others have questions.  :P
