Hey y'all. I was at Barnes & Noble last night and I saw this title while sitting in the manga/sci fi/fantasy section with a friend. It looked interesting, so I popped it out and read the back. Immediately I decided to buy it.

It's published by Wizards of the Coast, and it's called Confessions of a Part-Time Sorceress: A Girl's Guide to the Dungeons & Dragons Game.

It's by Shelly Mazzanoble, a promotion coordinator at WotC in Seattle. She has written for the Seattle Times and several of her plays have actually been in production. While I'm not a girl and I don't need an introduction to D&D, this was actually a really fun read. It has a ton of anecdotes and the introduction is written by R. A. Salvatore and Diane Salvatore. If you want a short, funny, and honestly very interesting and informative read, as well as a read that will make you all warm and fuzzy about the days when you first picked up a +3 Bastard Sword and chopped up some zombies, I really suggest you should read this. Not only that, but if you happen to have any girly-girls in your life that you'd like to share D&D with, this book will be your secret weapon. If you don't play D&D, it's ok, you'll still enjoy it, and while you might rather they become interested in some other game, the power to magically instill interest in gaming will still come in handy. Oh, did I mention that Ed Greenwood, creator of The Forgotten Realms loved it too.  ;)

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out next time I'm in Barnes and Noble.
