I was wondering. In the Jaidor Talisman Campaign, the characters will eventually kill the Godbeast. So if the Godbeast, which is coincidentally also the Sarthak Flesh God, is killed wouldn't that have an enormous impact on the Sarthak, especially in the Trossoli Dominion? I could even foresee a new series of wars with the Sarthak, who might even become such a great enemy to the surface lands that they replace Duthelm in Ithria and the Sybren Imperium in Aggradar as the two greatest single enemies of Khoras' major players. I mean wars have been fought over considerably less than revenge for a fallen god. Just thought it might be an important question to ask.
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

I'm not sure if this is posted elsewhere, but the sarthak were able to communicate with the Godbeast and they worshiped it. The sarthak took pieces of the "Godbeast" back to their cities and enshrined them in great temples and worshipped them. So now, every sarthak city has a piece of the godbeast at the center in a great temple. They did this specifically so they could have a piece of their god close to them, in their cities. These lesser pieces are distinct living biological entities and they are called the "Flesh Gods" by the sarthak. It is these Flesh Gods that have inspired much of the sarthak society and their magic. The original Godbeast, the main core of it, was left in the Shrine of the Jaidor Talisman. If the players get to the end of the Jaidor campaign and kill the main Godbeast, it won't kill all of the Flesh Gods that the sarthak are worshiping. The sarthak Flesh Gods would live on and so would the sarthak faith. Of course, if the main Godbeast were killed... yes, I think that very well could set off some kind of interracial war.

Yeah I posted this before reading the end of the Jaidor Talisman Campaign notes. However, it seems to me that the Flesh Gods, being only godspawn, would probably work something like minor gods or saints, and the Godbeast would be like a major god/sole god, so it would be like killing Allah or God to us or whatever, and I don't think a religion without a true pantheon of equally powerful and revered gods could realistically hope to survive the loss of the primary object of worship. But I guess it depends on whether the Sarthak are more reverent of the concept and consider their religion honorific or more religious due to centuries of worship. Oh well.

a thought to Bring up is that the Sarthak worship this being because they view it as a perfect being and if someone were to kill it, some Sarthak would view this as a sign that their god is not perfect and thus end their worship of it... however the death of the godbeast might also cause the sarthak to fight amongst themselves, because some want revenge, others might want to find another god worthy of worship, and others might simply turn to the "mini's" (flesh-gods) and worship them as if nothing ever happened. (or bring them all together in an attempt to create a second godbeast... dun dun dun dunnnnnn)

All of those ideas are good. As you can see, there are several possibilites. It could lead to a sarthak civil war, a religious jihad, the death of a faith, etc. It depends on how you want to run it. If you, as the game master, wanted to, you can have the death of the Godbeast spark a whole new campaign - a war with the Sarthak or whatever.
