Golanthius

1. Thou shalt not harass players, regardless of thy personal differences with them.

2. Thou shalt not be afraid to kill any character that blatantly deserves to die.

3. Thou shalt remember at all times that this is a game, the objective is fun, and that a single rule or roll is less important than an afternoon's enjoyment.

4. Thou shalt at all times be scrupulously fair to players who deserve it.

5. Thou shalt play thy creatures as if they are alive, unless they aren't, and thou shalt know the difference.

6. Thou shalt be self-consistent.

7. Thou shalt be willing to admit thine own errors and shalt never refuse to consider the suggestions or assertions of players, whose ideas may often be better than thine own - but thou shalt be firm in thy decisions.

8. Thou shalt keep thy players motivated and never allow them to approach invulnerability.

9. Thou shalt attain and maintain the trust and respect of thy players and constantly search for new ideas.

10. Thou shalt be accessible, versatile, and practical; thou shalt be neither prig nor a popinjay, but neither shalt thou wimp out.

Some excellent commandments, Golanthius. I would add

11. Thou shalt make sure someone bringeth snacks.

And this one goes for players as well

12. Thou shalt keep thy damned cell phone switched off. Real life can wait until the session hath ended.
