Will this book eventually get finished? If so, published?

I would love to see this in a book store at some point, then a movie.

How 'bout it David? So far the writing is superb and can't wait to read more.

A Khoras novel, whether it be To Find A King or something else, is a long term project that I've considered for a long time. So, I'm not saying that I'm going to do it. But it's something that I've seriously considered. Don't hold your breath though. It'll be a long while. :)  I want to do a few short stories first.

Also, if I ever did get around to doing To Find A King, I think I would have to rewrite a lot of it. To Find A King is loosely based on the Avisarr campaign, the original Avisarr campaign. I was trying hard to capture the original events and characters. The problem is that that's hard to do. Ever notice how a great book gets all screwed up when it's converted to a movie or a computer game? Same thing happens with gaming. Sometimes what works great in a role playing environment makes a lousy book. And sometimes what makes a fantastic book would just suck as an RPG. That's just the way of it. They are totally different formats and they need to be approached differently.

So, having said that... (and if Mark ever reads this, I'm sure he would agree with me)... "To Find A King" needs to be rewritten a bit. Trying to slavishly follow the original campaign only makes for bad writing. I actually would LOVE to write a Khoras novel. I imagine it would end up borrowing bits and pieces from lots of different campaigns, but to really work, it would have to be an original storyline with all new characters.

I hope what I just wrote makes sense... it's very late here and I haven't slept in a while. :)

I agree, I have started a book about one of the first campaigns I ever ran. It's called "A Brothers Betrayal", however, I got stuck around the fourth chapter. I found the hardest thing was writing the villan's part, eg what he thinks, what he says, who he schemes with, etc.

Anyway, I think with all the unique races of Khoras, an eventual book would be great.

Get some rest David.
