This festival celebrates the founding of the great city of Ithell. The actual battle in which Ithell won its independence from Traxxian forces was fought on Windrise 9 in 777 CY. Now, each year, in late summer, that date marks the Day of Founding celebration.
This is a conservative celebration in which scholars will give speeches, plays are performed, artists gather in impromptu musical celebrations, large picnics are arranged and elven aurells are sung. It is heavily steeped in elvish culture and tradition.
