Oil of Flame Quenching appears as an inky black fluid. It has no smell.
Originally developed in the late 15th century by an alchemist/sorcerer in Mercia. It's original purpose was to protect ships from fire, but the concoction proved useful in many other applications. The formula is now widespread and common.
This unusual oil will make anything treated highly resistant to heat and flame. It is typically used to protect wood, leather or paper. Once applied, the item is very resistant to fire and heat for 3 days. It can also be applied to skin and hair, but such personal protection lasts only three hours.
Magical fires and extremely hot flames (such as dragon's breath) may overcome such protection.
This potion will not function during a Drellis phase.
