This stout shield is a single piece of a very dense grey metal. A circle is painted on the front of the shield. The upper half is blue and the lower half is green.

This shield was carried for several hundred years by the elven lord Bretham. He, reportedly, discovered this ancient item on an adventure to a distant continent.

If this shield is worn or carried, the wielder is completely unharmed and unaffected by any form of meteorological or weather related phenomena. This includes magical effects that mimic weather. Hence, the wielder would be untouched by rain, wind, hail, lightning, hypothermia, frostbite, sunburns, etc. The shield maintains an envelope of warm and comfortable air about the shield. This envelope can be overpowered by extreme and sudden temperature variations. A fiery explosion, for instance, would burn the shield bearer and a magical blast of cold would freeze him. However, in the latter case, the person would not suffer frostbite. Electricity, such as a lightning bolt, would not harm him.
