I have noticed that on the browser a lot of website have an special icone close to their name (in the toolbar for example). For those who have not, there is a small white page. I thought it could be cool to have a small "khoras icon" too. It would be a very small thing to improve the site.

Suggestions? I don't really have a logo for Khoras. But I could come up with one. I'll gladly take suggestions though. :)

how would you add that to the I.E in your html?

i have no idea what you could make since the icon is so small...

maybe a BIG K with blood on it?

I'm pretty sure that you just have to have a file on the root level of the web site with a particular extension. And it likely has to be a certain size. It shouldn't be too hard to look that up. But I am stumped as to what the icon should look like. Yes, I too was thinking of something along the lines of a graphic "K" on the parchment background, but I'm going to keep thinking about it. Maybe inspiration will strike. :)

I tried setting this up for my own site the other night and could not get it to work. The icons are pretty cool and I hope you give it a go David...only with better luck than I had with it.

Since you don't really have a graphic logo for Khoras,  I recommend taking the "K" from Khoras on your main page and making that your icon.

David, you know what the symbol should be.  There can be only one, as a matter of fact.  ;)

Though a 'K' is an excellent alternative if it proves to be easier.

I think I need to explain that last comment. :)

Spaden is an old friend of mine from college. Coincidentally, she and Mark and I had dinner last night and it was the first time I had seen her in about 4 years. She and Mark are two of my earliest players and they were both gaming with me when the very first Khoras concepts were written down. Actually, before Khoras, there was only the Avisarr Campaign (which was first run in the World of Greyhawk). And all the notes for that campaign (and ideas from which Khoras sprang) began with a single sketch. That sketch was the symbol that was burned into the Avisarr. It is the symbol of Ynthar. It's a inverted triangle inside a triangle inside a circle. You can see a picture of it in the Avisarr Campaign notes. Spaden is suggesting THAT as the symbol for Khoras. And yes, given its history, that's a tempting logo idea because it goes to the very roots of Khoras, in its earliest incarnation. But still, I'm going to have to ponder it.

A scaled down version of that symbol would be exactly what you would need.

Mark Price

I agree with Lady Spaden. The symbol of Ynthar is the perfect iconic image for the springboard which became Khoras. And it's not like you couldn't easily change it if you come up with a better idea or "official" Khoras icon later.

Lance

Mr. Price makes an excellent point.

I'm for it. Has more style and oomph than a K, and it could help to further shape the sites identity. And when you bookmark the site, it would look a lot better than a dog-earred page.
