Session 24 – Journey from Sarroch to Waykeep #5

We picked up where we left off last – the group of characters had just been thrown out of Sarroch's ruined castle because of something that Gen had said to him. Some sort of social faux pas, although the others weren't exactly sure what it was that she had said and she was a bit tight lipped about it, saying only that Sarroch had overreacted.

However, the players had gotten what they came for – information. They had learned many things from Sarroch. They had learned:

There are no maps of the Desolation.
They need a guide.
The name of a guide in the Aukarian Republic – a man who had actually been in to the Desolation and back.

The characters, having regrouped with their two wagons, went back down to the main road and started back on their journey toward WayKeep #5.

On the way, they had an encounter with a small pugnar group of warriors, but they managed to fight them off. They even got a prisoner and this time, Ugita took his tongue and with his magic, learned the pugnar language. So, it was worthwhile.

Eventually, they made it to WayKeep #5, but because of the duel between Callister and the Aukarian Warmaster back at WayKeep #3, they thought they might be in for a chilly reception. This fort, Waykeep #5, most manned mostly by Aukarians.

So they camped out in the Wandering.

The next morning they continued east on the main road toward Aukaria. They are almost out of the Wandering.
