Novakyr is one of the clan regions of the Kingdom of Normidia. The town of Traethin is the clan seat where Clan Boethur rules. Clan Boethur is ruled by Duke Halreth Boethur, a tall and lean man with a hawkish face and pointed beard. He is renowned for his great wisdom, his clever arguments and his quick wit. He is a soft spoken man of gentle nature.
The town of Traethin takes its name from the local cheese produced by the dairy farms. Traethin cheese is blue-white, crumbly and very pungent. It has an earthy flavor that some find overpowering. The local dairy farmers produce great quantities of traethin and this cheese is sold to Tykron for export along with other cheeses from other provinces. Wool, beef and wine are other exports.
Novakyr is a large region of rolling forests hills, broad grasslands and sunny skies. The farming villages make berry wines from local orchards. The local peasants hold frequent festivals filled with colorful costumes and lively dances.
