Northern

Dialects

There are several regional dialects of the Northern tongue, but these differ only in minor pronunciation and spelling differences. For the most part, northern is a relatively homogenous language.

Spoken

The Northern tongue is a direct descendant of the Irreni language and shares its almost musical rhythmic flow. "Northern" is spoken throughout the north lands from Avar to Kitar, but especially in Normidia, Uthran and Arkalia where it is the dominant language.

Written

Northern uses the 44 letters of the Irenni alphabet. The alphabet has passed down to Northern with almost no  modifications.
